After working with Ubuntu for a number of months, I've decided to try Linux Mint 2.2. It's up and running fine but I am unable to copy various icons from the Bianca menu and from my documents file onto the desktop. In Ubuntu and Windows, I just clicked and dragged onto the desktop and confirmed that I wanted a 'shortcut' (or whatever Linux calls it) here.
This action doesn't seem to work in Bianca. I'm sure that I'm just missing or confusing a step... but what is it?
Your advice, suggestions, assistance will be appreciated.
Thanks,
