Is there any reason downloading using apt-get only goes between 10-20k per second? I'm on a 10/10 line and downloading through ftp/http is fine.
Seems any repo I download from is not going very fast at all.

in /etc/apt/sources.list you can change occurences of archive.ubuntu.com to your local mirror.. for instance, here in Ireland we use: ie.archive.ubuntu.com
