I have recently installed k3b, I am currently using Bianca 2.2, I have used k3b before under other versions of mint with no problems however when I click on the icon in the start menu nothing happens other than a bit of hard drive activity, no error message. I can run the program fine from the terminal by typing 'sudo k3b' any clues mint community?

try to run it into terminal without sudo e paste here the error

I think it's a wrong permission set on the file .ICEauthority... if that try to change permission of the file
