After installation of Elyssa, my PC often hangs (once or twice a day, quite annoying). It reminds of the days I used Windows...
I seldom experienced this when I had Daryna, my use of the system haven't changed..
Can it be something with the fact that I reused my old /home partition?

Re: After Elyssa install my PC often freeze
I does not freeze for me
Using a separate home partition is a good thing, but can have such consequences
I edited this section to the wiki
http://www.linuxmint.com/wiki/index.php ... _partition
So with a separate home partition move all hidden files and folders in home into an archive before installing
Perhaps you should do that and make a fresh install
I need to write something about this that is noticed by people that install

I decided to make a fresh install yesterday. So I made a back of my /home to an USB disk before starting.
During the installation I now reformatted the /home and the /.
Installation went OK, and from the backup I got my documents, and the settings (hidden files) for mozilla thunderbird and FF, Opera, skype, picasa and wine.
Time will show if this solved my problem.
Re: After Elyssa install my PC often freeze
I have been using my Mint 5 rev1 PC quite a lot these days after my fresh install.
I have experienced freeze situation twice, both times while using Firefox. I don't know if it is related to Firefox, but it seems to be.
