Beware if you use Acronis secure zone

I have used Win XP sice it appeared (well, a few months after, really) and for most of the time I have relied upon Acronis True Image for (daliy) backup(s). Now I use Mint as my default OS. It seems that the disk checks performed by Linux corrupted the content of Acronis secure zone and yesterday I had to delete all my backups. I have now edited fstab so that Acronis secure zone is neither mounted nor checked. (Acronis secure zone is a "special" FAT32 partition)
Checking the partitions after it's been mounted 30 times does not indicate a trust in the file system I think
