Linux Mint Installed but making noises

It sounds like something is checking files or doing some sort of read/write
this is going on all by itself... very curious. Outside of that the only thing i noted was that both sound cards were detected and I was unable to change to default
I noted this under a different posting.

Try removing beagle (reboot after the packages has been removed as the indexing could still be going on).

I removed the Beagle and now this puppy is nice and quiet. He must of gotten lost rummaging around all the file shares. Does that do it or is there more to do?
