battery meter

so the default battery meter in Ubuntu and in Linux Mint doesnt work. it just stays at 100% for infinity.

in KDE i use a program called klaptop_check (part of klaptopdaemon). unfortunately, apt-getting it will allow it to run (with a bunch of errors) ---- but, for some odd reason it just crashes/dissapears after 10 or 20 seconds of working perfectly. no error, nothing. its just gone from the system tray.


what can i do?
if it wasnt for this - i'd have mint installed right now!

The battery monitor works fine for me. What type of hardware are you running it on?
