Folder Renaming Problem Rebecca Cinnamon

Post by snoopy_mint »

I am encountering a problem quite often when trying to rename folders in Rebecca Cinnamon
Anyone else have this porblem and know how to fix it ?? Or is this a known bug.
Although I have been running 32 bit sw for years it seems I should have 64 bit with my processor.
Its a dual boot Win 7/Rebecca btw on 2008 viao. It didnt do it before I loaded Rebeccah had version 14/15 before was ok. ??
Any answers much appreciated ? Any development team members around ??

No.
And I have no idea about your problem, as you did not provide any description about it. (E.g. which folder, method you used, result of the task)

This is happening when creating a naming folders from the desktop. E.g. Creating new folders in Music or Pictures, default name Untitled Folder is given , then I cant change it, either in icons or in list form ??? This wasnt happening previously but seems to have started happening since installing dual boot windows ??;/

So you are able to create new folders?

Staying with your example open a terminal and enter:

Code: Select all

ls -la Music

Code: Select all

ls -la Pictures
and paste the out put here. Also tell us, which of the folders inside Music make the problem.
