Removed Fortune

Post by DasFox »

Well guys I'll give you credit for trying to add some spice to the gnome terminal with Fortune, but as a Linux geek, not a newbie, I really hated it, and removed Fortune, now the Gnome terminal gives me the reply that the path is no longer there.

bash: /usr/games/fortune: No such file or directory

How can I remove this?

THANKS

P.S. Ditch Fortune in the terminal in a future version of Mint.

Got It

GOT IT

open a terminal
- type "gksu gedit /etc/bash.bashrc"
- in the end of the file, remove the line /usr/games/fortune
- save the file.
