Lock Screen - I/O errors during copying

Post by qbicdesign »

I'm copying a bunch of files from my backup drive, about 65GB total, and it seems that when the computer goes into lock-screen mode (after supposed inactivity) that the copying process is somehow affected. Whenever I unlock the screen to check on progress, there's an I/O error on a file.
If I sit here, and babysit the copying process and don't let it go into lock screen, the copying seems to be fine.

Is anyone else able to check and verify this behaviour?

Also - a recommendation to anyone ina position to do anything about it:
The file copy error dialogue has 3 options Cancel, Skip, Skip All - There really needs to be a "Retry" option too...

I'm copying files with Nemo
I'm running Mint Cinnamon 17.2 64bit
Athlon X2 64 5000+ 4GB RAM

I would just not lock the screen while the files are copying. :D Have you reported the bug?
