[solved]Switching to secondary user->Touchpad dead!

Hi!

Everytime I change user (System->Quit->Change user), the secondary user can't use the mouse anymore. The mousepointer is not responding.

If I do a "ctrl+alt+f7"+Mousemovements ->then "ctrl+alt+f9", the secondary user gets the control of the mouse back.

Is this behaviour reproducable, can s.o. confirmed this bug? Is there an another way to solve this mouse trouble.

Greetings

PS: I am using Cassandra.

I have just tested and not been able to reproduce the problem, but I'm getting problems with the scrollwheel so there may be something there.
Tell us more about your computer. It can be connected with the video drivers

Thanks for your feedback.

I have a radeon 9200mobility-cpu athlon 2600 m- on an acer 1355 laptop.
Take a look at my xorf.conf

Code: Select all

I don't see any problems there. I have also tried the "ati" driver, but there is no difference. When I change user, the mouse is dead->btw the mousepointer is allready dead when I see the gdm-greeting picture.
Here is the xorg.log, while I was changing the user:

Any ideas?

Hey!
I forgot to mention that this problem is related to my touchpad.
Example: User 2 wants his desktop. He enters the gdm. Here is the touchpad dead. When he plugs an usb-mouse in, then the usb-mouse workes. (The touchpad still refuses to work). For the primary user->both touchpad and usb-m work. When user 1 touches the touchpad to move the pointer, and then he switches to user 2-> the user 2 has full control of usbmouse *and* touchpad.
I don't know if those infos will help anyone (they didn't help me to solve my probs)
K.

sorry for my poor english...
