im using beta 014 and was wondering how easy it would be to install kde on it, sould i still install kubuntu desktop in the past when ive isntalled kubuntu desktop its broken openoffice, or is there a beta for the kde version i know the bea based one was just realeased but i like bleeding edge business
You could install a standard KDE desktop - this is always possible (?) just like the other way round (gnome on KDE)
but it may break OO. There is a report about this in the forum I think, but I don't find it a t the moment
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

Doesnt Mint KDE use a different KDE repo that overrides the 6.10 KDE? Because Mint KDE has a KDE that is more up to date that Kubuntu 6.10, with some different feaures. This is a good thing, in my opinion.
i actually relly prefered the kubuntu desktop for the first time in agess in feisty there werent many bugs that i noticed im sure there are but none that i found!
btw on a side note does anyone know whats going to make kde4 so speical? ive seen the oxgyen and plasma and solid sites but to the end user having an icon set is hardly the most amazing thing ever, so what is going to make this so amazing? ive heard u'll be able to run it on windows aswel :S:O!!
