Mint Config appearing on the desktop - Cassandra

Postby ambertone on Mon Jun 04, 2007 12:38 am

Hi all,

Everytime I boot the computer "Mint Config" automatically loads and appears on the desktop. Any idea on what I did to cause this?

Cheers

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

when you shutdown/logged one time and left it open gnome may have remembered your desktop setup/settings and now keeps loading that same one.

ie it has not erased the entry for mintconfig on subsequent shutdowns/reboots. could be a bug.

this could be in mintdesktop or gnomedesktop... a gdm setting.

this may require a manual intervention to fix.

:D

Or it could be in the settings for sessions - there are two options for saving a session there
menu>Settings>Sessions

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

Fixed, I had added "Mint Config" to my favorite apps in the menu list and that is what did it. Since I removed it the problem is gone. (or it's just a big coincidence)

Thanks for suggestions.
