Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Hi.

Right-click it, and press 'Remove From Panel'.
Then right-click on the empty spot and press 'Add to Panel'.
Scroll down to the last section, Utilities. Here you can choose from 3 different "Start"-buttons. The default is 'Linux Mint Menu'. Try 'Main Menu' or 'Menu Bar', see if that suits you.

Myself, I use the 'Main Menu'. It's small and handy and works like a charm.

Thanks, but if you change your mind, can you get back Cassandra?

Use Linux Mint Menu to get the way it was before.

To remove the Cassandra text right click on the logo and go to preferences. Go to applet_text and delete Cassandra. I personally have replaced Cassandra with Start. :)
