Different OS's = different problems. Viruses and adware crap are not a problem here. Stupid server admins and human hackers however are a different story.

I read an article regarding switching over to Linux.

The article stated that if you knew Windows you were at a disadvantage!

I have been running Linux based systems for almost four years, no viruses or security problems of any kind. Rest assured, your system is secure!
