no sound, Linux Mint 3.0 on Gateway 7330GZ notebook (Conexan

Postby mcsquared on Mon Aug 20, 2007 8:40 pm

my machine is a Gateway 7330GZ notebook (Conexant AC-Link Audio). I'm unable to get any sound and I've checked to see if anything is muted, which it's not. The part of my drive running Windows XP has sound fine, but running first Ubuntu Feisty Fawn and now Linux Mint 3.0, I can't get sound on either install.

HELP, please. I'm hoping it's something simple because I want Linux to work and be fun. My wireless isn't working either on either of these OS's.

Ms.Max (definate Linux newbie, by the way)

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
