You don't write it but I guess you are using Celena...
set it as default under usplash
To be sure - this means?
In Celena this line

Code: Select all

gfxmenu=/etc/grub/message.mint
calls the Mint splash and I think that as long as that's there you'll get the Celena splash.
Why change such a nice splash?

These are the instructions Clem gave me to install the Celena usplash.

Code: Select all

update-alternatives –config usplash-artwork.so
chose option 4 (celena)
rm /usr/lib/usplash/usplash-artwork.so
ln -s /usr/lib/usplash/usplash-theme-celena.so /usr/lib/usplash/usplash-artwork.so
update-alternatives –config usplash-artwork.so
chose option 4 (celena)
uname -r --> (2.6.20-15-generic)
dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.20-15-generic
I hope this helps. :)

The splash for Celena is quite different from the one for Cassandra - remember to change for Cassandra in the code you've got
