Beryl problems with Celena, no windows borders solved

Post by nelamvr6 »

I'm having trouble installing Celena on my notebook.

I ended up doing a completely celan install, formatting my /home partition and everything.

I installed the nVidia driver using Envy, I get great frame rates with glxgears.

I updated my xorg.conf to contain the following options:

Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps"
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"
Option "RenderAccel" "True"
Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "True"
Option "backingstore" "True"
Option "TripleBuffer" "True"

And yet still when i start Beryl manager my windows borders disappear!

Help!

Well, I figured it out, my default color depth was set to 16 instead of 24. I can't believe that's what was wrong! 8)

And to confuse you I can tell you that it must be 24 but some other guy solved his problem by putting it to 16
What do you say? :)

Perhaps I should have posted this somewhere else?
