usb foot pedal not recognized

Postby daka on Sun Oct 21, 2007 9:10 am

The windows software has been installed using wine but the software (ExpressScribe) does not find the foot pedal. When I do lsusb I get the folowing, indicating that it is recognized by Mint as a USB device.

... Bus 002 Device 008: ID 05f3:00ff PI Engineering, Inc.

Any suggestions? Other people seem to be able to get this working easily in Linux, according to the product forum.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I looked at the manufacturers site and there is a linux version - maybe that one instead of the windows one through wine (it is free according to the site)
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
