what if

i type in sodu su root or something like that in a terminal. It prompts me for a password. i cant type anything but enter. what can i do?

That's because when you are asked for the password the cursor does not move while you are typing it in, so it seems as if nothing is happening.

Try putting in the password and then hit enter, you should see your commands working OK

When prompting for passwords in command-line it will not acknowledge visually that there has been any input but if you type it in, it's there =3
