How do I change the red/green/blue balance

Postby caddi fuller-Teabags on Wed Nov 07, 2007 9:14 am

Is it possible, though mint, to change the balance of my laptop as my photos, and my desktops, in fact everything, looks far too blue?

thanks

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

It would help if you told us what graphic card you have.
If nvidia you can do that in nvidia settings and then to make it sticky follow the post in the how to section
http://www.linuxmint.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3908
Of course you (must) have similar settings for ATI and Intel, but I only have nvidia to play with....

Thank you. I will learn, one day, to post the information that helps me to get help.

The card is a PCI card? an Intel Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express. I assume that if I have installed the correct driver I should be able to control it, my problem is that I have no idea about installing drivers in linux.

I have searched on the intranet and found answers on resolution but not on colour balance.

The drivers for that card are there by default, they are appropriately called 915 resolution
There are to many hits "off topic" when searching for
Intel Mobile 915gm "color balance" linux
so I can't find an answer.

Thank you for your help, Husse. I clearly didn't use the correct search terms in google, I will go through the hits and find the answer thanks.

I will learn to find answers.
