How to restore a mintmenu after a crash ?

Postby Openxworld on Sun Nov 18, 2007 5:01 pm

As a @`$*§! crazy silly enduser I have made a
"sudo apt-get upgrade"

When I reboot, got a blank screen
So I've done a fresh install of Daryna

As before Iv'e made a full backup of my /home directory, how do I restore the mintmenu I had customised before ?

Thx a lot for you help

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

It should be there - more or less. One of the downfalls of having home on a separate partition - and probably the only one - is that config files saved in home will affect your present system. I get the previous name on the menu until I change it.
But it's not quite the same.... luckily....
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
