Cant view Kanji

I installed the Japanese language package and i can write in hiragana and katakana but i cant view kanji, can anybody help me?

I know there is apost about this in the forum, but I can't find it, it can be among the posts that have been "distorted" in the transition to the new forum.
I think that there is a separate language pack for kanji and check the settings for scim

You have to install the fonts also. On my ubuntu system which displays kanji correctly, 'ttf-kochi-gothic', 'ttf-kochi-mincho' and 'ttf-arphic-uming' are installed. They show up with a search in synaptic for "japanese font."
