Bea and Bianca

Postby Uncle Bob on Sun Jan 28, 2007 9:56 am

Hi, I'm a new convert on the Linux scene, and have settled with Linux Mint as I find it very cool indeed! I have Linux Mint 2.1 "Bea" installed.

I have a question though. What is the difference between Bea and Bianca? Or, in another way; what is Bianca?

I'm asking as I see a lot of references on these forums to Bianca, but unsure if this is the latest version of Mint or not, or what exactly it is.

Sorry if it is a dumb question...

Hello Uncle Bob,

Bea is the latest stable version of Mint.

Bianca is the next version; the beta release should be on Tuesday if I'm not mistaken...

Hope this helps!

Thanks for that! I had the idea that it Bianca was a flashy/cool application for Bea.
