[SOLVED] Tool for user and group administration?

Post by mpiter »

I have just installed Linux Mint 12 and I cannot find a Gnome user and group management tool. I need to set specific user ID so everyone can work with his files keeping his previous user ID. Is there a Gnome tool similar to kuser or to the old Gnome user and group management tool?

I actually didn't think that this would work but if you liked the way the old "Users and Groups" worked then install it:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install gnome-system-tools
From the menu it located at: Menu > Other > Users and Groups
Please add a [SOLVED] at the end of your original subject header if your question has been answered and solved.

Thank you! Exactly what I needed.

I cannot stream on Ustream, if I don't add my user to the group "video"
