You can install "gnome-app-install" and run it... else with the new mintMenu you can simply right-click on the application in the menu and select "uninstall".

Is it safe to use that method now? (considering earlier posts on the subject)

/EDIT ...it worked fine with AWN anyway...

Actually, mintMenu 3.1 doesn't show exact deps for the uninstall feature. It's fixed in mintMenu 3.2 which will be released soon.
