Hi all. I am pretty new to Linux. Yesterday I installed Linux Mint 14 cinnamon edition. The installation was seamless and I love it. It does everything my PC did with Windows 7 only much, much better and so much quicker. 'course I don't do a whole lot on the computer, email, facebook, games, general surfing and some graphic stuff.

I'm a 62 old artist, female and live in Eastern Ontario near Ottawa. Hope I can gain some linux education from the forms.

Be sure to check out some programs for artist creations.
Gimp 2.8 installed by default and many tutorials on youtube or web sites.
Krita Paint & My Paint more aimed at Drawing artist.

Me into photography and finding many great programs that get the job done.
