Hi everybody!!

I still have not installed Linux Mint in my system. I am/was a Fedora loyalist. But going to take the plunge to Mint now. I'm burning the Mint DVD now.

I'm a corporate level Linux user. Thats why, I hope my transition to Linux Mint will directly influence another 100(at least) users to embrace it.

I've been using Linux since 1995 and mainly used Slackware and Fedora apart from Red Hat and CentOS at work place. NEVER used Ubuntu(as I was a Fedora loyalist).

In anticipation of a nice Minty experience. I'll be an active user in the forum.

** I found opening seperate acccount in the Community section and Forum section little weired and confusing.

** My user name here is LinuxPudina... Pudina means "Mint" across different languages in India.

Hi LinuxPudina, welcome to the Linux Mint forums Thanks for joining the forums! If you are able to get coworkers to use Linux Mint as well, all the better--having other Linux Mint users in your vicinity will only accelerate solving problems and learning new things

Be sure also to check out the Community website (ideas, tutorials, and hardware and software reviews), and the Cinnamon Spices website for adding themes, applets and extensions to Cinnamon (and check out the Cinnamon Extras package, which will install a lot of these for your automatically). If you haven't installed Cinnamon, see here the most recent update for a teaser.

You can also chat in real-time with other Linux Mint users. In the Mint Menu, in the Internet section, start the application XChat IRC. You will automatically get connected to #linuxmint-chat for general chat and #linuxmint-help for support with other Linux Mint users.
