Hi everybody!
I'm fairly new to using Linux, and I've yet to successfully install Mint on my laptop.
The reason I started using Linux in the first place was because in a fit of rage I threw my laptop across a room and couldn't afford to buy Windows when I got a new hard drive to replace the one that broke. I'd heard good things about Ubuntu from members of another forum I was a member of, and decided to try it.
It hasn't been as easy as I'd hoped to learn how to use an OS which assumes I know what I'm doing, but I am having fun learning. I decided to try Mint as an alternative to Ubuntu largely due to boredom and a keenness to try new things.
If I ever manage to get Mint onto my laptop, I'll let you know how I get on with it.
TTFN.
