Thanks!

Linux Mint users? Not really: I use Cinnamon, but in Ubuntu. (Unity is the only point that's not tasty for me.) But it seams that Cinnamon is a Linux Mint project, and don't have it's own forum. (If it's not the case, please, correct me! I don't want to stupidly spread stupids lies!)

But Ubuntu is going to become less and less like I want in the future… Maybe, in the future, I can switch to LMDE, if a Debian Stable based version of LMDE is in pipes. (Otherwise, I don't really know were I can go.)

Even so, Linux Mint is an interesting project, deserving some interest from me.
(And it's use .DEB package! [mode=troll]If it's not from Canonical and use Debian-style repository, it can't be evil.[/troll])

By default LMDE is using Debian Testing as a base (though updates are buffered, so they can be tested by the LMDE testing team before you install them). However, you can also use LMDE with Debian Stable as a base. Have a look at the LMDE FAQ for that; viewtopic.php?f=197&t=91405.

Testing?!? I don't know why, but I thought LMDE use Sid… If It's testing, that's not truly a problem for me.

In a less polite form: "RTFM at <insert here the man-page about this case>" (But you are polite, and I appreciate that. Thanks.)

Thanks for this information!
