Hello!

Postby Arjai on Mon May 14, 2012 1:27 pm

I'm a newbie here and with Linux and Mint.

I set up an old E-machines with a P4 as a Cruncher with WCG/ BOINC. Some friends and online Crunchers recommended Ubuntu. I asked around and found another P4 cruncher using Mint Lisa. He's had no problems, so I went for it!

Aside from a problem with my wired connection, http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=150&t=102112, I like it.

Here's hoping I can get that fixed and enjoy it even more!
Just trying to learn new things! :)

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Hi Arjai, welcome to the Linux Mint forums :D Thanks for joining the forums! I've pitched in on your wired connection problem, hopefully with that info and help from other forum members you can get that resolved soon...

Be sure also to check out the Community website (ideas, tutorials, and hardware and software reviews). You can also chat in real-time with other Linux Mint users. In the Mint Menu, in the Internet section, start the application XChat IRC. You will automatically get connected to #linuxmint-chat for general chat and #linuxmint-help for support with other Linux Mint users.
