I've made a few posts already so it's about time I introduced myself... hello!
Long-time Windows user, recently convertly to Linux after getting fed up of my laptop being bloated and sluggish on Vista. Deliberated for ages on which distro to go for, tried a few out on vmware then settled on Mint. Still yet to settle on one desktop environment though
Must say, it was daunting at first and a bit frustrating at times compared to the Windows "you get what you're given and it works out of the box" but already I've come to appreciate how many choices there are and how much tweaking can be done.
And of course the 100 or so gigabytes I've recovered by ditching Vista's junk
Thanks in advance for the help I'll no doubt pester you all for.
