Hello.
Since this is where we introduce ourselves, then let me introduce myself:
Geeky, nerdy, Linux-loving and open source-loving Australian male, 44, single and available!! But that's not relevant here....
Actually - and most importantly - I'm one of the many Ubuntu/Unity refugees and now a relatively recent convert to Mint having been enamored since 2010 with Lucid Lynx/Gnome - which, in my opinion, was the BEST OS ever - at least for my needs. I'm now using Maya with the Mate desktop on a desktop machine with an i7 processor and 8GB of RAM. After many installs, re-installs, fiddling around and tweaking, I THINK I've finally got the system the way I like it. Despite this, a few curve balls still tend to get thrown my way.
Best,
Sobieski
