converted ubuntu user and new to mint

i would like to introduce myself, im josh. i have been following ubuntu for years and i loved it untill... i found mint! mint's live cd is impressive, it comes with vlc and dvd support already installed. the kde interface is nice (i didn't like kde). i would also like to tell you all that i have finally given up windows for mint. with the app "playonlinux" almost everything i did in windows i now do in mint. thankyou to all who developed this wonderful O.S.

Hi shaggydavid, I to have been using ubuntu for years and started playing with Mint along side of many OS. At this point I must add that Mint is my favorite. Welcome aboard! :D

i know i tried several distros over the years all the wile using win 7 ultimate 64. recentlly i removed win completely from my pc and only run mint kde. i love it!
