I had been getting increasingly frustrated with my old OS on my 6-year old laptop. Why can't I press a button and it respond rather than always have to wait? Why is it unhelpful when it goes wrong and patronising when it's working ok? Why does it take an age to boot or shutdown? Why does it bombard me with junk when I search for help? Why does it hang so often. So, that was it, had thought about Linux for a while and finally taken the plunge with Mint 13 (MATE). Day 4 and really impressed so far. It does everything an OS should, and more! A big thank you to the Mint Team!

yes mint is better than Rutland weekend television [if your old enough to remember such t/v programs] but still not as good as Ruddles county
