Hello to all.

Hello world!
I just want to say I like this 'new' Linux thing.
Actually, I have tried Linux a couple times before, but didn't have the time to figure out everything. Since I make a living fixing Windows computers, I considered learning Linux to be an unneeded sidetrack. But this time, I am going to keep at this until I am as comfortable with Linux as I am with Windows.
Thankfully, when I read up on Linux distros, this Linux Mint seemed really nice. Reading about Gnome going crazy, and Ubuntu apparently copying Microsoft's “icon buttons everywhere” approach, Mint sounded like a decent alternative. Nadia is advanced enough in its technology, and polished enough in its looks, that so far I am having a real blast working with it.
So, as we get ready to ring in a new year, I am getting ready to start a new facet of my digital life, professionally and personally. And we'll be seeing a lot of each other.
Happy holidays,
newconvert
