Hello all,
I've just switched over from Debian Squeeze (just got a bit tired of ancient application versions and having to spend hours setting up peripherals and other simple stuff).
I'm really quite impressed by Mint so far: it's fast, stable, and fun.
The KDE desktop I'm using is really preconfigured nicely.
Looks like the MintTeam has done a great job on Nadia.
I'm looking forward to learning many Mint-specific tricks on this forum and to maybe being able to help out with some issues, too.
By the way ... first thing I did was updating to kernel 3.6.8, then installing 'nvidia-current-updates' (had to install and boot with nomodeset).
Everything works like a charm, multi screens and all.
Cheers,
G.
