Just realised I should have introduced myself first, before posting my question about my thunderbird profile. So hello! I took the big step into Linux about a week ago, triggered by having to reinstall windows and the sheer lousyness of that process coupled with the still mediocre results you get at the end of it. I won't labour the issue, by definition I must be preaching to the converted. I love Linux so far, despite having a few technical issues which no doubt I'll work out in time. It's so fast (and I mean really, really fast), it's 'clean', and I feel partly back in control of my PC and data. The one thing I'd love is to be google-free now, to have a search engine that isn't harvesting every scrap of info about me and mine. Any suggestions?
