Hi people,
Im a complete newbie to Linux Mint, in fact I had not heard of Mint at all until a few days ago when I decided to resurrect an old broken Fujitsu Esprimo Mobile v5535 which had awful Windows Vista installed. I am surprised I have even managed to get Mint 16 MATE installed at all let alone run. It seems good apart from wifi not working. Im a bit overwhelmed as I have looked around the forum and net for advice and in all honesty I have no idea what some of the solutions mean.

as standard this bit of kit came with a Atheros AR5BXB63 wifi card, these have a history of not being Linux friendly see the following post....
