Returning to Mint. Irish Community?

Postby sjmur on Sat Mar 29, 2014 6:47 am

Howdy,

I gave a short introduction and provided some fixes for steam on mint back here last summer but since then I have been away working on my final year in college (Multimedia) so I was surrounded by Windows machines and really did not have the time to configure a Linux distro to work the same way as I needed it on Windows...that and half of my assignments were on Visual Studio.

Anywho moving on! I also am a member of the Mozilla project and help run the irish community here in Ireland. If anyone in Ireland is interested in getting involved just send me a message!. But apart from that I wanted to see if there is interest in getting a Mint Community up and running here in Ireland, home of the Mint project. I've attended some of the Ubuntu meet ups but would love to help build up Mint because, its personally, my favorite distro and I have tried too many at this point. Community wise, it would be open to who shows interest! Id love to teach folks about Linux and Mint in general as the goal is to create a straight forward and stable distro so even not techy folk dont have to spend time getting up and running with it.

Anyway guys, hi again! If anyone is interested, lets get something going :)
