Hi everyone

Welcome to newcomers! Don't hesitate to introduce yourself.

Hi everyone

I've been using Ubuntu for web development for some time now and I've just installed Mint for the first time.
My computer at home was running Vista and it was getting too slow. My gf wanted a panel :D , Cinnamon looked pretty nice, so why not try Mint?

I must say I'm impressed so far. At work I'm very happy with Ubuntu, but for home use Mint might be better. It's very very friendly for people coming from windows.
Mint feels just as polished as Ubuntu although in a whole different way.

As much as I like Ubuntu and unity (yep, I really like unity  ) I would never recommend it to any of my non-tech friends, I might recommend Mint though.

Hi,

Yes, Mint's nice. The Mint's devs have done a lot of work structuring the packages and polishing its presentation; one of the things I like about Mint is that it introduces people to Linux in a way almost very familiar to those who are familiar with Windows but, through its LXDE edition, Mint offers a path leading towards a deeper involvement with the crisp detail that the Linux world offers.

Anyway, welcome to our community.

Regards,
