Re: Hey Guys!
Hi ClutchDisk, My very first Distro about 8-9 Years ago was RHEL 4... From there I tried OPENsuse for a while and then moved to Ubuntu.ClutchDisc wrote:Welcome to the Mint forums! What Linux distros did you use before LDME?
My trusty Laptop failed to start one day (Motherboard something) so I decided it's time to try something else that Ubuntu, time to learn more:
From there I tried Slackware and Slax as lightweight distro but yeah - too much work for me. I wanted to stay close to Debian after this, so I tried Debian and testing - but the interfaces were kinda not so awesome - and I struggled to much with the driver from Nvidia and External wifi cards. Then moved to Linux mint Debian - cause I still like Debian more that the Ubuntu distros. Thats how I landed here.
I had a rought time installing it together with Win 8.1 on UEFI but after understanding UEFI a bit better i got it running very well. Actually love the UEFI idea of booting now - cannot see how we got along that well on BIOS and MBR boots...
Have a great one... damn, off to work now....
