Hello I am new to linux

Post by jake1954 »

I hope that I will learn as much as I can, you know it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. I do not type fast or to good so I am sure I will be slow to amswer if asked a question. I have been a windows user forever and have grown tired of all the hype, I have been on win8 for about a year, quite the experience there, and I am not a novice when it comes to computers. I just want something to work when it is supposed to and I have heard that is what Linux does, work and proper.

I have a problem with one of my printers. A samsung clx1085 mfc color laserjet printer. I have it printing but can't seem to get the scanner to work. It shows the proper scanner in the simple scan setup box, but yet no response.

Welcome aboard, jake1954! It's probably best if you post your scanning questions in the appropriate forum section rather than here in the Introduce yourself section. You're more likely to get a response that way.
