Hello World

Post by Psycho_Pepper »

Just thought I'd say hello. I'm just recently took the dive from windows to linux a month ago after a storm bricked my entire computer (minus the ram somehow). I couldn't find the windows disk or key so decided to try something free. I won't be looking back unless it's for work now.

I haven't had a chance to ask any questions because the overall linux community already had answers for a newby like me. There are answers already out there for anything from hardware compatability issues, desktop environments, terminal and the list can and does go on. Now I feel less computer illiterate and slightly more empowered.

Currently I have Mint and Kali running from 2 hard drives. I am using Mint for my artistic endeavors and general loafing about, and Kali to continue my linux learning experience (break, research, fix, re-break repeat). They beat out 3 other flavors I fiddled around with. To me Mint performs better than Ubuntu, and Kali over Debian because of its tools and Debian took hours to get working due to compatability.

So thank you to posters of old and new. I look forward to joining this community.
