Hello

Post by Pati »

Hello
I am new to Mint, but not new to GNU/Linux. I strated in 2006 with Mandriva. In 2008 I built my PC and decided that linux will be my main OS. I didn't want to spent my money for Windows ;) So I Installed polish fork of Madriva - XtremeOS with KDE. When Mandriva was gone (so XtremOS also died) I moved to Sabayon KDE. Now my 7 years old PC is running with Mint KDE 17.2 and I like it. I also installed Mint Xfce at work on older computer (Celeron 1.60 GHz, 1GB RAM) - works very good, and Mint KDE on my friend's laptop. He was tired with his Windows, now he seems to be happy with Mint.
I hope to stay longer with Mint :)

On 2nd hdd I have Windows7 Beta, but I do not know if it is still working, as I haven't boot it for years. I am using this hdd as a storage for my photos, doing copies from linux.
