Just want to say hello

Postby rob0917 on Fri Jun 25, 2010 10:50 pm

I've used Ubuntu since 4.10 and I believe I have tried every version of Mint that's been available . What a fantastic distro ,with everything it's got installed it saves a lot of time over Ubuntu . This is my first post but I have been lurking in the background learning all I can .So just saying Hi to a great community.

Hello and welcome. I'm a relatively new linux user myself. Read everything I could find on Linux before I took the plunge, and started first thing with Mint. I have tried at least 5 of the other most popular distros, including ubuntu, and feel I made the right choice with Mint. Nothing else seems to do it for me.

Hello rob0917,
A belated Welcome to Mint Forum - you've been here longer than I have :P
I was using Open SUSE 11.1 and not getting on at all well with .rpm when I saw some screenshots of Gloria on a tech blog and thought "Ooh! Shiny!" I decided to download it and have a look....been here ever since :D
