hello

I can't wait to use this one I just uninstalled another Linux Kubuntu just a lot of packages that was recommended didn't work. So far like what I see has most of what I need plays home videos going to look for converters MP4 and Divx and see if the brasero works on this linux i couldn't get it to work in mandriva well thus far I has 3 os's on my pc hoping to learn this one win 7 win xp and this one once i find what I need would love to stay bug free without windows.

You said a lot there.

I have not converted/transcoded videos, but I believe I have seen references to Handbrake being used for that purpose. (I did open one mp4 file with Kino and it was converted to either DV or avi, I do not recall at the moment. It was a clip from a GoPro camera which a friend wanted me to trim.)

I have used Brasero to burn iso disks and data disks.

Can't wait to try the other packages on this I do have a PVR will try that to..
