Heya

Postby Deano-T on Wed Jul 14, 2010 4:14 am

My name is Dean. I'm a first time linux user and chose to start with Mint! So far things are going ok. Just need to find alternate ways to work as I normally would have and that's why I registered on here.
Hope to get loads of help on here.

Cheers :)

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Hello Deano-T,
Welcome to Mint Forum :P
You will find lots of useful information here and on the community site http://community.linuxmint.com/
Another useful feature is the Google Linux plugin for Firefox- open Firefox open Tools menu, choose Add-ons,select Browse All add-ons and search Google Linux from there.
We also have IRC channels - open MintMenu>Internet>XChat and you will be connected automatically to #linuxmint-help and #linuxmint-chat
Have fun with Mint

Thanks! I've already managed to slightly break my OS twice  All fixed up again though. Sometimes the best way to learn is to break something :P

Like Aging Technogeek says: Learn Linux - If it isn't broke, fix it 'til it is, then reinstall and start over.
