Hello everyone,

I'm a long time Debian-based distro user. I saw Mint so I thought I`d check it out. It easily replaced Ubuntu on my laptop. I've been reading on the website and I have to say I like the way things are organized here. The theming for gnome is snazzy, the project's "personality" so to speak is outstanding. I love the compatibility with Aptitude and Ubuntu packages. I haven't encountered any problems so far. Very cool distro. Congratulations to the whole community on producing Mint!

Yeah, the idea system is really cool, especially how you can vote ideas up or down.

I logged in to IRC last night. What a good idea it was to have xchat preset to open right into the Mint channels.

One of the first topics we covered in the IRC was beer. So it seems that the priorities here are in line with mine.
