New user, but troubled...

Postby Tio on Wed Sep 15, 2010 2:17 pm

Hi all,

I'm new here, like you've never heard that before.

I'm trying to post to this forum before I use the Newbie or Installation forum, to make sure I can actually post.

My trouble is with no desktop (only default green background after logging into Mint 9 Xfce. I'll put the details into Newbie.

Thanks tdockery97 and oscar799. I will check out the links and additional info. The community and chat areas sound like great resources.

So far my issue is unresolved. Wonder if it is better in a different forum - maybe Installation and Boot. Can I move it or is that an administrator thing?

I can move your other thread, No desktop after login (only default green background) viewtopic.php?f=90&t=55511
to the Installation and Boot subforum, if you like.
